Report | GSA-RNAS+ Towards the 2030 Schistosomiasis Control and Elimination Goals – Successes and Challenges

31 July 2024

On the 17th and 18th of June 2024 the Global Schistosomiasis Alliance (GSA) and Regional Network for Asian Schistosomiasis and other Helminth Zoonosis (RNAS+) co-hosted a schistosomiasis focused meeting at the 7th Symposium on Surveillance-Response Systems Leading to Tropical Diseases Elimination (7th SRS). The aim of this meeting was to share progress on, and innovations in, schistosomiasis elimination as we work towards the 2030 WHO goals.

The 7th SRS was an ideal opportunity for the GSA, RNAS+ and the Institution-based Network on China-Africa Cooperation for Schistosomiasis Elimination (INCAS) to collaborate and share lessons learnt and progress made to eliminate schistosomiasis and reach the WHO 2030 targets.
