Dr Anouk Gouvras
Dr Anouk Gouvras is the Director of Communications and Programmes at the GSA, driving the alliances collaborative activities, using a multi-stakeholder engagement and coordination approach to facilitate & progress the GSA's working groups and work streams outputs and to ensure the GSA serves its role as the enabling, coordinating and leading platform for the schistosomiasis community. Anouk's background is in schistosomiasis biomedical research. She was awarded her Ph.D on schistosomiasis research from Imperial College, London and went on to do post-doctoral research on schistosomiasis at the Natural History Museum (NHM), implementing research projects with collaborating health and research institutes in different countries in sub-Saharan Africa and working with researchers & programme managers from several countries in Africa, Europe and America. She is using this experience combined with her passion for science communication and engagement in her current role to enhance and progress schistosomiasis control and elimination.
