WHO PC 2017 Update

The World Health Orgganization (WHO) NTD department has updated the 2017 global status of implementation of preventive chemotherapy (PC) for schistosomiasis and other PC NTDs.

The new data for schistosomiasis shows:

  • 90.7 mil people treated in the African Region
  • 70.8% school age children reached globally
  • 72.4% school age children reached in the African Region
