World NTD Day 2022

30 January 2022 is the third annual World NTD Day, and the first since it has been officially endorsed by the WHO at the 74th World Health Assembly.

World NTD Day serves as a catalyst to translate awareness into action, secure increased resources for neglected tropical diseases, and facilitate political leadership and ownership of NTD programmes by NTD-endemic countries.

The date commemorates the simultaneous launch of the first NTD strategy —a road map for NTDs— and the London Declaration on NTDs in 2012. Learn more about WHO’s 2021-2030 road map.
