COR NTD workshop on Urban Schistosomiasis and Trachoma

The 2019 annual meeting of the Coalition for Operational Research on Neglected Tropical Diseases (COR-NTD) was held November 18 & 19, 2019, in National Harbor, MD. The GSA organised a COR NTD workshop on the "Assessment of Schistosomiasis and Trachoma Distribution in Urban Areas for Targeted Intervention", on the 19th of November 2019.

The workshop discussed the need and potential of developing an integrated mapping protocol for Schistosomiasis and Trachoma in urban environments to determine areas where transmission is ongoing, and communities are at risk,enabling the optimisation of interventions targeted toaffected communities under a Universal Health Coverage approach.
