Mr Moses Adriko
Mr Adriko is the Programme Officer with the Uganda National Bilharzia and Worm Control programme under the Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) Control Programme. As a programme Officer, he supports capacity building and national advocacy and campaigns to control NTDs in Uganda. Mr Adriko has accumulated over 10years’ experience in the field of epidemiology and control of Neglected Tropical Diseases in Uganda. For the last eight years, he also worked as a team member of the National Schistosomiasis Control to carry out a number of tasks notably to identify schistosomiasis / STH research priorities in Uganda, drawing up Ministry of Health plans of Action for mass chemotherapy against schistosomiasis and intestinal helminths and in “Integrated Vector Management” in endemic areas. As an informal Liverpool Tropical Associates in Health (LATH) consultant, he participated in the development of a number of training manuals for Namibia including guidelines of Integrated Preventive Chemotherapy (PCT), guidelines on Monitoring and Evaluation of NTD control and on NTD mapping guidelines. Mr Adriko has published a number of papers on Neglected Tropical Diseases but particularly in the epidemiology of Schistosomiasis mansoni, he has now accumulated over 22 publications in peer reviewed journals.
