Jiaodi Zhang is a PhD student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College London. Her PhD research focuses on investigating the different protective mechanisms of soap against schistosome cercariae in water and using the laboratory results to provide scientific evidence of soap protection and propose approachable guidelines to reduce schistosomiasis infection in endemic regions. Before her PhD, Jiaodi obtained a MSc in Environmental Sciences from Peking University and a BEng in Environmental Engineering from Nankai University, China.
